Jellyfish Revisited

Amorphous

Sometimes I spend weeks exploring the same subject. The series of German castles I drew is a good example of this. I tried to draw the same types of lines in different ways with great repetition so that by the end I felt I had some mastery over that method of drawing. Castles are mostly rectangular straight lines and architectural polygons. This is in complete contrast to the lines that make up a jellyfish which are best described as amorphous, shifting without rigidity.

After last the last post Drifter I wanted to experiment more with the types of lines I used. I love the long swooping lines that make up the tendrils and its fun to try to overlap them. Admittedly none of these drawings so far have captures the sense of depth I want to express with this subject. I would like to try a similar drawing on watercolor paper.
